&lt;p&gt;Its very common to experience gas and bloating while recovering from an eating disorder. Use these tips to make this part of recovery a little easier~&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Gas and bloating does &lt;strong&gt;not&lt;/strong&gt; mean you should eat less. Try adding these foods to your meals/snacks for both relief and prevention:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Fresh pineapple - contains Bromelain, a digestion promoting enzyme &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Fresh papaya - contains an enzyme similar to Bromelain&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Celery - helps relieve water retention&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Asparagus - encourages growth of bacteria that helps reduce stomach gas&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Yogurt - contains bacteria that is helpful to digestion&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Black pepper - aids in digestion&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Peppermint tea - calms stomach and intestinal gas&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Protein - have some in every meal and snack to help with water retention&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;After your meal, take a slow, short walk. The goal should&lt;strong&gt; not&lt;/strong&gt; be to burn calories, but just to move around. Down the street and back is good enough. You can also try some light yoga poses:&lt;/p&gt;
